IBM Platform Security Analyst (Cross Training Opportunity)

IBM Platform Security Analyst required for a multinational IT Services organisation based on-site at our Buckinghamshire SOC location. If you are an IBMi iSeries AS/400 platform operations professional looking for an opportunity to cross-train into IT Security, we would like to hear from you. The focus of this role will be the delivery of an IT Defence offering/service for IBM Power and Storage clients. You would be based in a Security Operations Centre (SOC) using IBM native tools on both Power and Storage platforms, maintaining IT security services. The scope of training will include IBM Power SC for Power 9, 10, and 11, Storage Defender, Insights, and the use of a SIEM agent for reporting.

Key Skills

• Previous experience as an IBM System i / Power i / IBM i / iSeries Operations Technical Consultant with excellence in Power I (IBMi, System i, iSeries) systems support and management.
• Experience with IBM i OS (i-Series IBMi Power I AS/400), BRMS, Work Management, and Performance Management.
• Skilled in solving technically challenging problems involving Power i-based application issues.
• Willingness to cross-train and build on current skills into an IT Security operations role.
