NTT DATA is currently looking for an IBM i Consultant remote for our growing team in the UK.

Overview

An exciting opportunity has been created for an experienced IBM i Consultant to join an established team in the role of Senior Technical Consultant.

Key Responsibilities

- Apply foundational technical knowledge of architecture solutions to meet business requirements and resolve technical constraints.
- Focus on independent execution, problem solving, and demonstrating passion for engineering excellence.
- Work on various complex projects as a Technical Expert in the IBM i environment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical deliverables are met.

Key Skills

- In-depth IBM i software knowledge spanning ideally 10+ years with SME levels of exposure to IBM i OS; 3rd party products are a plus.
- Profound experience with PASE, Linux, Ansible, Python, Git.
- Knowledge of HTTPS/IWS integration with APIs on the IBM platform at a high competency level alongside SQL.
- PowerVC desirable (nice to have).
- Good knowledge and exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Elastic, and a working understanding of OTEL.
- Previous experience in a software engineering or developer role (RPG/CL) is ideal.
