Andras Hotels in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the Housekeeping Manager in supervising all housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring high standards and guest satisfaction. The role emphasizes staff development, training, and cross-department collaboration within a growing hotel group.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year in housekeeping with supervisory experience, fluent English, and strong communication skills.

• Experience in ensuring high cleanliness standards and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Housekeeping Manager in day-to-day staffing, planning and assigning tasks.
• Provide mentoring, coaching and feedback to improve staff performance.
• Ensure staff are trained in mandatory brand and health & safety trainings and have proper tools.
• Promote teamwork and coordination with other departments.
• Assist with deep cleaning projects during peak periods and HR-related actions when needed.

About the role

Your day to day:

People

• Assist Housekeeping Manager in managing day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve employee performance
• Ensure staff are fully trained in all mandatory Brand and Health & safety trainings and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other department heads
• May assist with planned deep cleaning projects and/or assist housekeeping staff during high volume periods.
• Recommend or initiate any HR elated actions where needed.
