Overview
IBD Associate - Strategy Consultant - Banking at Tassell Consulting, London, United Kingdom. The firm provides high-value, actionable intelligence for Corporate and Investment Banks, Asset Managers, Wealth Managers and Fintechs to improve business performance across market share, revenue, client relationship share and quality, operational excellence, return on equity, brand perception, behavioral drivers, and industry evolution. The role is part of the growing global Research team and focuses on IBD and Lending content with partner relationships and platform development.
Responsibilities
- Subject Matter Expert
- Develop knowledge to be a subject matter expert across the IBD (M&A, ECM, DCM) and Lending landscape.
- Analyze, interpret and deliver IBD & Lending data to present key messages to senior clients with maximum impact and actionability.
- Contribute to the team’s understanding of the ongoing evolution of IBD & Lending activity.
- IBD (M&A, ECM, DCM) Delivery
- With Relationship Management teams, deliver IBD & Lending products within annual delivery schedules, attending delivery meetings in person or via VC/call.
- Prepare analytics ready to present to clients in line with contractual remit and timeframes.
- Collaborate with Analytics centres (e.g., Mumbai) on execution of projects and deliveries.
- Content and Analytics Development
- As part of the global Research team, lead analysis to develop the IBD & Lending bank performance model.
Required Experience and Skills
- Keen interest in CIB content with essential IBD and Lending content knowledge, including trends in Corporate and Investment Banking markets, the FS sector, and awareness of competitors and their strengths.
- Preferred backgrounds: Banks’ Client Management teams; coverage or broad IBD product teams; Banks’ Client Strategy teams; Business Management within banks; FS practice in a consulting firm; Product Manager in a benchmarking firm.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with ability to work with large data sets (numerical and qualitative).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent English, and ability to present and edit reports and market commentary clearly.
- Excellent project management, ability to work autonomously, and a proven track record of delivering projects.
- Strong academic background or equivalent experience; demonstrated high intellect.
