Job summary

Red Sift is seeking a collaborative Software Engineer to safeguard and enhance the reliability and usability of our Identity and Access Management (IAM) and platform front-end systems. You will design robust, scalable code, build seamless user experiences, and ensure secure access controls while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have strong JavaScript/TypeScript, React and Node.js experience, plus API design, NoSQL (Mongo), and OAuth-like flows.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React and Node.js.
• Strong understanding of API design, consumption and client-side logic.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (Mongo) and Git version control.
• Experience with OAuth-like flows and cloud platforms (AWS, CI/CD).
• Familiarity with AI-native development and integrating AI/LLM providers.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable IAM and front-end platform components.
• Build secure, high-performing code and maintain robust access controls.
• Develop and maintain test suites (unit/integration) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with external teams, manage dependencies, and optimize authentication/services.

About the role

The mission of this role is to safeguard and enhance the reliability, security, and usability of Red Sift’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) and platform front-end systems. We ensure seamless, secure user experiences while maintaining robust access controls, empowering teams to innovate confidently on a trusted foundation.

You will contribute to diverse projects, operationalizing admin procedures to empower users and internal teams, and optimizing internal platform services like authentication and subscription management for peak performance and stability. Your responsibilities will be varied and impactful, offering a dynamic and challenging work environment.

A fundamental aspect of this position is the design and construction of robust, scalable, and high-performing code. You will be instrumental in building the platform that opens the door to all our current and future cybersecurity products.

We expect you to perform this role with high autonomy and sense of ownership while collaborating with and working through external teams and dependencies.

You prioritise product and user experience.

You are a collaborative Software Engineer with proven professional experience in Javascript/Typescript, React, and Node.JS, you possess a strong understanding of API design, consumption, and client-side logic.

You are proficient in writing unit and integration tests and have experience with NoSQL databases like Mongo and version control systems such as Git. With excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, you demonstrate a solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.

You have experience in cloud platforms, deployment processes, and OAuth-like flows. Ideally with experience integrating LLM providers.

You are a practitioner of AI-native development. You don't just use AI, you orchestrate it. You are comfortable using structured prompt engineering, managing context/token usage, and applying specialized agents for testing, PR reviews, and code refinement. You have experience integrating AI into the full development lifecycle, from spec-driven planning and automated log analysis to CI/CD validation.

Interviewing Process

We appreciate your time, your interest in the company and dedication during the interviewing process. We'll do our best to move quickly through phases, provide feedback and keep it as short as possible for both sides to make a decision. Once we invite you for the first interview, we'll do our best to complete it within the following 2 weeks.

• Phase 1: Recruiting and HR introduction calls.
• Phase 2: Technical interview including a live AI-coding exercise (90 min)
• Phase 3: Behavioural interview with future manager (45 min)
• Phase 4: Meet the CTO (30 min)

Location

Barcelona or London would be ideal but we would be happy to accommodate fully-remote working arrangements in locations with similar time zones.
