Job summary

Social Security Scotland is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join the Digital Risk & Security team in Scotland. The role focuses on monitoring and improving the organisation's security posture, with hands-on IAM work and involvement in vulnerability management across major cloud platforms.

You will work in a modern cloud environment, supporting security controls, incident response and risk assessments while collaborating with senior colleagues to develop technical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience of day-to-day IAM activities
• Understanding of vulnerability management in a major cloud platform

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyse and respond to security intelligence to reduce risks within IAM and strengthen access control.
• Maintain auditing and compliance related to IAM practices.
• Assist with vulnerability assessments focusing on IAM.
• Apply and maintain security controls as required by policy.
• Record and respond to security incidents per policy and document actions taken.
• Identify operational problems and contribute to their resolution.
• Investigate problems in systems and services and support remediation.
