Job Description
The Quality Assurance Officer will work in the RBK ASC Quality Assurance Team. Responsibilities include:
- Experience in Adult Social Care Quality Assurance or Contract Monitoring visits.
- Experience with Adult Social Care Safeguarding and Whistleblowing.
- Report writing for Local Authority Adult Social Care departments.
- Resolving concerns and complaints related to Adult Social Care providers.
- Travel to Kingston upon Thames up to twice a week for on-site visits.
- Evidence of a Just Culture approach to provider engagement.
This role involves monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on the quality of ASC service providers by liaising with service users, carers, and providers to ensure service quality. It includes capturing feedback, maintaining contacts, and informing safeguarding, contract management, and procurement activities. The role collaborates with colleagues to identify areas for improvement.
Key Activities
- Define outcomes, set targets, and monitor performance.
- Build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Utilize new technologies for modern, efficient working practices.
- Proactively monitor services and collate quality assurance information.
- Assess care quality against standards and identify improvements.
- Capture and use service user and carer feedback for quality improvements.
- Raise concerns and work with teams to address service quality issues.
- Support investigations and develop reporting systems.
- Develop action plans and risk assessments for providers.
- Conduct case reviews and support safeguarding investigations.
