The University of Bradford invites applications for a Research Associate in the Institute of Cancer Therapeutics, within the Institute of Health and Social Care. The role tests hypoxia-selective cancer drugs using 2D and 3D cell models and supports drug development via LC-MS analysis.

Applicants should hold MSc or PhD or equivalent experience in related fields and have practical mammalian cell culture and molecular biology skills. Enhanced DBS checks apply.

Formación

• MSc or PhD, or equivalent research experience in cancer biology, pharmacology, molecular biology, biomedical sciences or related discipline.
• Practical laboratory-based research in cancer biology or related fields.
• Experience with cell culture and in vitro biological assays; data interpretation.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate novel hypoxia-selective therapeutics in 2D and 3D cancer models, alone and with chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
• Investigate mechanisms of action and therapeutic response using molecular biology, flow cytometry and gene editing.
• Support translational drug development through LC-MS studies of activation, stability and pharmacokinetics.
• Analyse data and disseminate findings.
