Job summary

Hypersonica in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on Mechanical AIT Engineer to lead the assembly, integration, and test of hypersonic hardware from drawings and CAD models. You’ll translate design intent into clear build instructions and own sequencing for full vehicle integration.

You will collaborate with Mechanical, Systems and Electrical teams, identify tooling and torque specs, and support testing to ensure quality, traceability and manufacturability in a fast-paced, mission-driven

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience translating drawings to assembled hardware.
• Experience with precision mechanical assembly, structures, or mechanisms.
• Ability to interpret CAD models and create assembly procedures.
• Comfort in fast-moving, prototype-heavy environments.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical AIT from concept to flight-ready.
• Develop assembly procedures from drawings and CAD models.
• Define assembly sequences for full vehicle integration.
• Identify tooling and torque specs for safe assembly.
• Support hands-on assembly and resolve build challenges.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve manufacturability.
• Support integration testing and mechanical readiness.
