Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Associate Mechanical Project Manager to lead on a major data centre project. The role may be based in the UK or involve significant travel to Norway, with rotations described.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of large-scale technical projects and construction techniques.
• Ability to manage multiple technical disciplines.
• Experience on Data Centre new build and refurbishment projects, preferably hyperscale.
• Willingness to commit to significant international travel.

Responsibilities

• Create and establish the Master Project Schedule and Master Project Budget with client and general contractor.
• Support contractor pre-qualification, bid solicitation, bid analysis and recommendations.
• Support contract negotiations.
• Assist client and team in identifying, scoping, buying-out and scheduling owner-direct vendors and consultants.
• Manage the General Contractor and directly contracted vendors on site.
• Coordinate Value Engineering efforts during the construction phase.
• Develop Budget Management and Tracking with client’s commercial/PCG team.
• Liaise with client’s schedule management team for monitoring and analysis.
• Initiate close out processes two to three months before completion.
• Establish close out documentation requirements and collect all documents until completion.
• Assist with inspections, occupancy processes, and coordinating owner-direct vendors.
