Job description

Job Title: Hygiene Technologist

Location: Ashford, TN24 0LU

Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum, dependant on experience

Shifts: Days - with flexibility

A full time, permanent opportunity has arisen at our Ashford site for a Hygiene Technologist to join the team. You will support the implementation, development and adherence to the site's Hygiene Management System.

Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities
  1. Compliance, Food Safety and Quality Management:
  2. Responsible for ensuring the site complies with legislation, customer requirements and Group policies pertaining to hygiene management.
  3. Responsible for hygiene non-conformance management.
  4. Responsible for Line hygiene/Pest audit completion against the RA. Responsible for investigation and escalation of areas of concern.
  5. Responsible for the completion of cleaning validations.
  6. Completion of Cleaning verifications. (swabbing)
  7. Responsible for creating and updating CIC's.
  8. Data and Knowledge Management:
  9. Reports and trends on gathered data, creating IT based solutions where applicable.
  10. Gives advice based on existing generated data and knowledge.
  11. Applying Technology to the Business:
  12. Communicates technical information in a way that is relevant to the target audience.
  13. Site liaison for all hygiene enquiries.
Essential Technical skills/Qualifications/Experience
  1. COSHH Qualification
  2. Qualification in Food Science, Quality, Hygiene or relevant
  3. Basic GCSE or equivalent
  4. Food manufacturing experience.
  5. Ability to work under pressure and respond to short term demands.
  6. Good team working skills and experience of working across multi disciplines.
  7. Leadership skills
Desirable
  1. Degree or equivalent in relevant technical discipline.
  2. Understanding of statistical process control.
  3. Driving licence.
