Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfil has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail-ready cuts for butchers’ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers, and hand-selected by our master butchers. We produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.

Our Merthyr site is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly Hygiene team. This is a full-time, permanent position, working 6.00am to 6.00pm - 3 days on / 3 days off, at £12.40 per hour.

As part of the Hygiene Team, your daily tasks will include:

  1. Keeping all areas of the factory clean and tidy, meeting health and safety standards.
  2. Waste disposal, sweeping and washing floors, adhering to PPE policies.
  3. Deep cleaning machinery, including belts, frameworks, walls, floors, ceilings, and lights, following cleaning instruction cards according to area.
  4. Occasionally pre-washing down areas including floors, walls, belts, machinery, and tray wash, in compliance with production needs.
  5. Effective communication with Supervisors and Team Leaders.
