At Wisbech, our team of 525 colleagues manufactures premium chilled ready-to-cook meals for major retailers such as Sainsbury's, Aldi, and Co-op.

What you'll be doing

As a Hygiene Operative, you will be responsible for cleaning all food manufacturing areas, equipment, and machinery to meet hygiene standards. Your duties include:

1. Performing daily cleaning of all factory areas as part of a team.
2. Scheduling deep cleaning of large machinery.
3. Wearing full PPE such as chemical suits, visors, wellingtons, gloves, and safety goggles.
4. Working in chilled and hot environments.
5. Completing paperwork to document cleaning processes.
6. Promoting a good health and safety culture.
7. Handling and storing chemicals safely.
8. Reporting damaged equipment or machinery.

What we're looking for

Full training will be provided, but we are looking for candidates with the following knowledge and experience:

1. Experience in a hygiene-based role.
2. Health & Safety Level 2.
3. Food Safety Level 2.
4. COSHH awareness.
5. Willingness to learn and train in different areas.
6. Ability to follow written instructions.
7. Attention to detail to meet inspection and cleanliness standards.
8. Ability to work independently for periods.
