Job summary

Stonegate Farmers Ltd is seeking a Hygiene Operative to join its team in Lacock, Wiltshire. The role involves cleaning production machinery, equipment and factory areas to high hygiene and food safety standards.

The position is on site with a 4on4off rotation; working hours are 06.00am–18.00pm, and the salary is £13.06 per hour. Applicants should have warehousing experience and good English, with a strong eye for detail and the ability to work as part of a team in a busy, high-care food

Qualifications

• Warehousing experience is essential.
• Experience in hygiene or cleaning roles is advantageous.
• Experience in high-care food environments is advantageous.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Works well in a team and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out daily cleaning and sanitisation of production machinery, equipment and factory areas.
• Ensuring cleaning is completed thoroughly and to the required standards.
• Maintaining high standards of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
• Following COSHH requirements and handling chemicals safely at all times.
• Adhering to company hygiene rules, procedures and standards.
• Working methodically to ensure all areas and equipment are cleaned effectively.
• Collaborating with colleagues to maintain a clean, safe and efficient production environment.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Hygiene Operative to join our team. This is an important role within our operation, helping to ensure that our production areas and machinery are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised and that the required hygiene and food safety standards are maintained.

As a Hygiene Operative, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out daily cleaning and sanitisation of production machinery, equipment and factory areas
• Ensuring cleaning is completed thoroughly and to the required standards
• Maintaining high standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
• Following COSHH requirements and ensuring chemicals are handled and used safely at all times
• Adhering to company hygiene rules, procedures and standards
• Working methodically to ensure all required areas and equipment are cleaned effectively
• Working closely with colleagues as part of the wider team to maintain a clean, safe and efficient production environment

Requirements

• Has previous warehousing experience - essential
• Has previous experience within a hygiene or cleaning role - highly advantageous, but not essential
• Has experience working within a high-care food environment - advantageous, but not essential
• Has a strong eye for detail and takes pride in maintaining high standards
• Is methodical and well organised in their approach to work
• Has a good level of spoken and written English
• Works well as part of a team
• Can remain organised and effective when working under pressure
