Cleaner/Hygiene Operative

About the role

Arla Foods are looking to recruit a proactive and thorough Hygiene Operative/Cleaner to join our Hygiene team at our flagship Aylesbury Dairy site. You will contribute to maintain the high hygiene standards across non-operational areas. This is a full time and permanent position which will consist of a 7 week shift rota which will include days, evenings and weekends.

Our Aylesbury site is the largest fresh milk site in Europe where we produce for most of the UK retailers under their own brand. The site is the same size footprint as 30 Wembley Stadiums!

Responsibilities

As a hygiene operative you will conduct all cleaning procedures in all our non-operational areas which includes meeting rooms, corridors, changing rooms, toilets, offices and canteen areas. You will monitor equipment performance and correct / raise issues before they become problems. It is essential that you maintain strict food hygiene and health and safety standards.

You will ensure full completion of daily, weekly and monthly cleaning targets and you are able to work on your own and be able to challenge different areas of the business.

It is essential you maintain all cleaning equipment, record confirmation of tasks completed and make sure you have enough stock for your area/s.

What you’ll need to be successful in the role

  • Previous cleaning experience would be beneficial but not essential
  • Good communicator with ability to understand instructions
  • Reliable, hardworking with a professional attitude
  • Good attention to detail
