Role Description


As a Hygiene Operative you be required to undertake all aspects of cleaning all food manufacturing areas, equipment, machinery and fabrication of buildings to meet food hygiene sta ndards.
You will be carrying out the consistent application of hygiene within a given area/line to make sure the area is maintained to the agreed standards.
It'll be part of your job to ensure that all cleaning processes are completed in full and that hygiene standards for a given area are maintained.
Clean machinery and the general factory areas in line with the Company's standard operating procedures following a defined cleaning schedule.
Assembly and disassembly of production equipment to allow equipment to be cleaned to the correct standard
There is a need for working at height with the aid of MEWP’s
Weekend night shift based role

Some duties include:
Carry out Cleaning of all scheduled areas of the factory as part of a team
Carry out scheduled deep cleaning of the fabrication of the buildings
Wearing full PPE such as : Chemical suit, Visor, Wellingtons, Gloves and Safety goggles
Working at height to access equipment, pipes and building fabrication
Filling out of paperwork and document work carried out
Promote good health and safety culture within the work place
Use of, make up and storage of chemicals

Role Requirements



What you will need:
Experience within a hygiene environment would be advantageous
You will be self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative
You will have a proactive approach to problem solving
You will be a flexible, and a team player
Have a high motivation to achieving high hygiene standards
Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to seamlessly adapt to business requirements to ensure we Make it Happen.
Have a high level of integrity who will maintain high standards.
Demonstrate a consistent and high performance in Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures.
Has an understanding of GMP requirements and demonstrates an ability to consistently adhere to these.
Has an understanding of Hygiene within a food production environment and how it impacts on the finished product.
Has had exposure or experience to Hygiene functions previously to ensure an understanding of purpose.
Be confident and competent in accurately in operating machinery and completing paperwork.
Demonstrates a willingness to Raise the Bar, by seeking opportunities for improvement of our processes.
Have good communication skills and the ability work collaboratively with the Team, the Team Leader and key Stakeholders.
