Job summary

Finsbury Food Group is seeking a dedicated hygiene operativ[e] to perform day-to-day cleaning and maintenance of production areas, equipment and the factory floor. You will follow cleaning schedules and complete hygiene paperwork while upholding safety and housekeeping standards.

The role involves hands-on deep cleaning, shutdown cleans where trained, and collaborating with colleagues to meet hygiene targets while demonstrating company values throughout your shift.

Qualifications

• Previous hygiene or industrial cleaning experience.
• Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing environments is advantageous.
• Physically fit and able to meet the demands of a hands-on role.
• Hard-working, reliable and willing to put in the effort.
• Strong attention to detail and conscientious approach.
• Good communication skills and a team player mindset.
• Ability to work independently when required.
• Good timekeeping and attendance.

Responsibilities

This is what you’ll actually do!

In this role, you willbe responsible forthe day-to-day cleaning and maintenance of production areas, equipment, and the factory floor. You will follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules to ensure all areas are cleaned to the required standards and ready for production.

You will carry out physical, hands-on hygiene duties, including deep cleaning tasks and shutdown cleans whererequired(training provided). Some high-level and industrial cleaning may be involved depending on skills and training.

You will complete all hygiene and compliance paperwork accurately and on time, ensuring due diligence ismaintainedat all times. You will work to tight schedules, follow safe systems of work, andmaintaingood housekeeping and “clean as you go” practices throughout your shift.

You will also work closely with your team, communicating effectively and supporting colleagues to meet hygiene targets whiledemonstratingcompany values at all times.
