Job description

Overview – Kepak Group

Kepak Mclntosh Donald are looking for a Hygiene Operative to join our team on a full-time basis, working Monday to Friday,40hrs/week.

Job Purpose

To ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in all non-production and production areas of the red meat site, including office spaces, changing rooms, factory toilets, PPE room, locker rooms, laundry area and production areas whenever required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and sanitization of all non-production areas.
  • Cleaning of factory floors, walls and work surfaces within allocated areas.
  • Replenishment of consumables (toilet rolls, soap, paper towels, etc.)
  • Segregation of soiled laundry.
  • Safe use of industrial pressure washers and cleaning equipment, in line with training
  • Safe use of cleaning materials and chemicals, in line with training
  • Maintain and safely operate tools, equipment, and chemicals
  • Adhering to cleaning instructions and schedules, to ensure tasks meet the required hygiene standards
  • Maintain domestic and Industrial Hygiene Standards
  • Completion of daily cleaning tasks, and completion of all relevant documentation and checklists
  • Maintain to Health and Safety Standards
  • Actively participate in all required company training
  • Complying with Company’s health and safety rules, and hygiene requirements
  • Carry out any other duties as directed
  • Any other duties as required by management and within the competency of the post holder
  • Experience working within an Industrial Cleaning Environment preferred
  • Able to work in both chilled and warm environments
  • Manual handling ability and awareness, must be fit and able
  • Meticulous attention to detail essential
  • Commitment to good practice
  • Fluent English, Communicate well in written and oral form with multi-nationals on all levels
  • Ability to multitask and work under own initiative to deliver to deadlines

  • Flexible approach to working and committed to night shifts and potential weekend working
  • 31 days annual leave per year (after probation).
