Job summary

E3 Recruitment is assisting a UK food manufacturer in finding an experienced Hygiene Manager (or Supervisor seeking progression) to lead the hygiene function on a days-based site. Reporting to the Head of Technical, you will manage an established hygiene team providing 24/7 support to a busy site that produces ambient products for major retailers.

The role involves leading hygiene schedules, risk assessments and audits, and close collaboration with operations and technical to uphold food safety

Qualifications

• Experience in hygiene in food manufacturing, ready for more responsibility.
• Confident people manager with coaching and development skills.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene, GMP and hygiene management systems, with Level 3 HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the hygiene team, setting consistent standards across shifts.
• Own hygiene schedules, cleaning systems and risk assessments, ensuring practical application.
• Collaborate with operations and technical to maintain high hygiene and safety standards.
• Participate in customer and third-party audits, presenting data and supporting inspections.
• Oversee allergen controls, environmental results, pest control, waste and hygiene costs.
