Adore Recruitment Ltd is supporting an established food manufacturing business seeking a Hygiene Manager on a maternity cover basis at Gravesend, Kent. The role leads a sizeable Hygiene team to maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness, with a salary of £50,000-£55,000 and a 9-12 month FTC.

You will ensure compliance with BRCGS, HACCP and customer requirements, drive improvements, manage budgets and collaborate with Technical, Production and Engineering teams to keep standards

Formación

• Proven Hygiene Manager experience in food manufacturing.
• Experience in highcare or ready-to-eat environments.
• Coaching and communication skills with teams.
• HACCP Level 3 essential.
• Hygienic design qualification or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the Hygiene function day-to-day and ensure compliance with food safety and BRCGS.
• Lead the Hygiene team and manage cleaning, sanitation and deep-cleaning programmes.
• Monitor performance and collaborate with Technical, Production, Engineering and Projects.
• Manage Hygiene budgets, labour, chemicals and equipment costs.
• Drive root-cause analysis of hygiene/contamination issues.
• Develop standards, processes and training across the Hygiene function.

We're partnered with an established food manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality, food safety and high manufacturing standards.

They're looking for an experienced Hygiene Manager to join their site on a maternity cover basis, taking responsibility for the Hygiene function and leading a large team.

This is a key role for someone who understands the demands of a busy food manufacturing environment, takes pride in maintaining high standards and is confident leading people and driving improvements.

The Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the Hygiene function, ensuring the site consistently meets food safety, hygiene, legal, customer and BRCGS requirements.

You will lead the Hygiene team, manage cleaning and sanitation standards, monitor performance and work closely with Technical, Production, Engineering and Projects to keep standards high across the site.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading and developing a large Hygiene team
• Managing sitewide cleaning, sanitation and deep-cleaning programmes
• Ensuring hygiene standards meet BRCGS, HACCP, legal and customer requirements
• Managing Hygiene KPIs, audits, corrective actions and improvement plans
• Investigating hygiene and contamination issues and driving rootcause analysis
• Managing Hygiene budgets, labour, chemicals, equipment and associated costs
• Supporting site projects, new equipment installations and hygienic design
• Working closely with Technical, Production, Engineering and Projects teams
• Developing standards, processes and training across the Hygiene function
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency without compromising food safety

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Hygiene Manager within food manufacturing
• Experience in a highcare or ready-to-eat environment
• Strong experience leading and developing Hygiene teams
• Good knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, food safety and hygiene standards
• Experience managing budgets, KPIs and operational performance
• Strong understanding of cleaning, sanitation and hygienic design
• Confident people leader with strong coaching and communication skills
• Good problemsolving and continuous improvement experience
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and crossfunctional teams
• HACCP Level 3 essential
• Hygienic design qualification, formal training or equivalent experience
