Are you a hygiene leader with a passion for food safety, people, and operational excellence? We’re looking for a Hygiene Manager (Nights) to lead our site hygiene operation and ensure our factory, equipment, and environment are maintained to the highest standards.
This is a key leadership role in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, where you’ll play a vital part in delivering safe, high-quality products while building a motivated, high-performing hygiene team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading all hygiene activities across the site, including deep cleans and routine sanitation.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety legislation, customer codes of practice, and audit requirements (BRCGS, customer visits, etc.).
- Managing hygiene audits, documentation, and due diligence records.
- Driving a safety-first culture and maintaining hygiene-related risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Recruiting, developing, and leading a dedicated hygiene team.
- Monitoring hygiene KPIs and driving continuous improvement in standards, efficiency, and team engagement.
- Managing hygiene budgets, chemical use, and contractor relationships.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Technical, and QA teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a hygiene leadership role within a food or FMCG manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, BRCGS), audit processes, and hygiene legislation.
- Excellent people management skills - confident leading, coaching, and developing teams.
- Data-driven and performance-focused, with strong planning and organisational skills.
- A calm, decisive leader who thrives under pressure and during seasonal peaks.
- Passionate about hygiene, safety, and continuous improvement.
