The Role

As Hygiene Manager, you will be at the forefront of maintaining the highest hygiene and GMP standards, ensuring our site operates safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with HS&E and FSQ regulations. Your leadership will be instrumental in safeguarding the integrity of our products while supporting the site’s continued growth.

You’ll take ownership of our site’s hygiene and housekeeping systems, lead a dedicated team, and drive continuous improvement. You’ll set and execute the site’s Hygiene Strategy, validate cleaning processes, and ensure compliance and standards are reviewed and enhanced regularly.

You’ll also work closely with cross-functional teams, manage supplier relationships and budgets, and lead hygiene-related BRC compliance efforts, internal audits, pest control, chemical management, and laundry services.

With a strong people-focus, you’ll develop and lead your team to maintain and elevate hygiene excellence across a 24-hour operation — delivering a best-in-class hygiene function that supports our business ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the site’s Hygiene Strategy in alignment with the wider Technical Strategy.
• Lead and manage the hygiene team across a 24-hour operation.
• Ensure compliance with BRC, HACCP, and QMS regulations.
• Manage budgets for cleaning chemicals, consumables, and laundry, ensuring cost-effectiveness and supplier performance.
• Own and enhance the Hygiene Management System across facilities, factory, and warehouse.
• Validate cleaning activities and ensure their effectiveness.
• Drive continuous improvement through internal audits, KPIs, and risk assessments.
• Oversee pest control, laundry services, and chemical supplier relationships.
• Support the Brighter Future Sustainability Strategy and linked OKRs.
• Shape and elevate hygiene standards within a dynamic and growing business.

Required Experience

• Proven experience in a similar Hygiene Manager role within FMCG.
• Demonstrated success in delivering high hygiene standards across site.
• Robust experience managing internal and external audits.
• Experience developing and executing a Hygiene Strategy.
• Passion for hygiene and technical safety.
• Strong people management and leadership experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Health, Safety & Environment teams.
• Effective influencer and communicator at all organisational levels.
• Methodical, self-motivated, and results-driven.
• Strong relationship builder and team player.
• Ability to support and develop a factory culture in line with Little Moons' values.
• Able to work on own initiative and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
