Our extensive distribution network enables over 10,400 daily deliveries of chilled and frozen produce, including third-party products.

At Park Royal, we have a team of approximately 1,150 colleagues producing sandwiches, wraps, and platters for major UK retailers such as Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Morrisons, Co-op, Spar, Wilko, Sutherlands, Iceland, and Poundland.

What you'll be doing

As a Hygiene Manager, you will oversee all hygiene-related activities within a manufacturing unit, setting standards and leading the hygiene teams to meet customer expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing strategies to enhance quality, efficiency, and hygiene innovation aligned with business objectives.
  • Providing leadership and direction to engage and develop the hygiene team.
  • Establishing a holistic hygiene vision covering safety, health, environment, and waste management, fostering excellent customer relations and managing third-party relationships.
  • Leading the coordination and successful delivery of manufacturing visits and audits, ensuring compliance and recognition of best practices.
  • Monitoring and reviewing team performance to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
  • Managing hygiene budgets, Capex, and third-party contracts to maintain standards.
  • Ensuring a safe working environment in accordance with SHE policies.

What we're looking for

  • Degree-level education (preferred).
  • Qualifications such as L4 Food Hygiene, L4 HACCP, IOSH Managing Safely, COSHH, Allergen Awareness, CIP, and Microbiological Hygiene.
  • Financial acumen and experience in FMCG, especially in hygiene management.
  • Experience in managing audits and pest control measures.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of chilled food manufacturing principles.
  • Experience leading diverse teams and working within integrated hygiene and environmental management systems.
  • Understanding of equipment manufacturing and CAPEX requirements.
