Hygiene Manager

Orion is currently working with a fast-paced manufacturing company near Bidford Upon Avon. We are recruiting for an experienced, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and proactive Hygiene Shift Manager to work on a 4x on, 3x off shift pattern.

Hygiene Manager Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage the hygiene operatives on shift
• Audit and monitor standards of cleaning to meet food safety regulations
• Initiate robust investigations into out-of-specification results/non-conformances to drive continuous improvement in hygiene standards and microbiological performance
• Perform corrective actions in response to microbiological results
• Maintain high cleaning standards throughout the hygiene department to be audit-ready at all times
• Train operatives to follow cleaning instructions to ensure machinery is cleaned correctly
• Support other Hygiene Shift Managers in achieving department KPIs with recommendations to enhance performance
• Ensure all hygiene documentation is up to date for audits

Hygiene Manager Experience:

• Background in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries
• Strong knowledge of hygiene systems, cleaning practices, standards, chemical control, and procedures
• Knowledge of swabbing routines
• Knowledge of CICs
• Ability to manage a team and meet KPIs
• Understanding of HACCP and third-party standards like BRC and customer COP
• Experience in cross-functional continuous improvement projects
• Effective team management and influencing skills
• Strong communication, organization, planning, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and related software

Hygiene Shift Manager Qualifications:

• HACCP Level 3
