Reflect Recruitment Group is seeking a Hygiene Front Line Manager near Melton Mowbray, between Leicester and Nottingham, to lead a Hygiene team and ensure clean and safe environments in a food manufacturing setting. The role focuses on Health & Safety, quality standards, and training delivery while driving improvements in productivity and waste reduction.

You’ll manage team leaders, conduct weekly briefings, and coordinate with the hygiene manager on KPI reporting, audits, and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Hygiene managerial or supervisory experience within the food manufacturing industry.
• Excellent people management and interpersonal skills.
• Food hygiene certificate (to be achieved within 12 months).
• Experience with HIC's / CIC's ideally.
• Understanding of COSHH.
• Good level of numeracy and literacy to carry out area reporting activities.
• Understanding of KPI's.
• IOSH or equivalent trained preferably.
• Experience of carrying out or being involved in carrying out risk assessments ideally.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Hygiene team leaders and provide guidance, including performance development reviews and disciplinary actions.
• Conduct weekly team briefings across all departments and ensure robust handovers to the hygiene manager with KPI reporting.
• Drive productivity and cost reduction through waste control and efficient team performance.
• Undertake weekly audits to ensure finish standards, cleaning schedules, and COSHH risk assessments are up to date.
• Support innovation by proposing new ways of working and implementing improvements with the hygiene manager.
• Liaise with engineering to sign off on hygiene standards and maintain department task/cleaning plans.

Hygiene Front Line Manager

Based: Near Melton Mowbray/Leicester

Salary: c£39,000 per annum + Great Benefits

Hours: 36.65 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 1700 to 0100 plus overtime

Our client is seeking an experienced Front Line Manager or aspiring Manager with Team Leader or Supervisor Hygiene experience for their Hygiene team near Melton Mowbray and between Leicester and Nottingham.

You'll be ensuring a clean and safe environment for your team ensuring that Health & Safety procedures, Quality/Hygiene standards and company Rules, procedures and policies are always adhered to and assisting with the delivery of training for the teams when needed as well as reporting of issues as they arise, which may impact on product quality, production /hygiene activities, and environmental issues.

You will also be conducting weekly team briefings across all departments and ensuring a robust system of handovers directly to the hygiene manager on a weekly basis which will include the hygiene KPI's. You will be striving to improve productivity and cost reduction at all times through control of wastes and loses, e.g. water, detergents and time by ensuring the teams are working efficiently. You will also conduct weekly auditing of areas to ensure that the finish standards including the methodology are to the correct standards and ensure that periodic cleaning is up to date.

You will be a key part of innovation within the business, encouraging teamwork and will develop new ways of working within your team working with the overall hygiene manager to implement improvements at all times. You'll also of course maintain the upkeep of your department task/cleaning/COSHH risk assessments.

Day to day you will manage the Team leaders, providing support and guidance, supporting in conducting performance development reviews, disciplinary and investigations issues, and ensuring training plans are up to date via the training matrix as well as conducting standard audits and dealing with external audits and liaise with the engineering department to sign off on hygiene standards.

To be considered for this role you will have:
