Akkodis in the Bristol area is seeking a Hydromechanical Systems Engineer to join our Aerospace team on hybrid arrangements (3 days on-site in Filton). You will contribute to development, integration and certification of landing gear and hydraulic systems, covering actuators, steering, braking, and control architectures.

The role offers exposure to requirements management, system integration, and verification & validation across major aircraft platforms within a global engineering consultancy.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Aerospace Systems Engineering.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical or hydromechanical aircraft systems.
  • Understanding of landing gear actuation, braking or steering systems.
  • Verification, validation and system integration experience.
  • Requirements management using DOORS or Polarion.
  • Familiarity with qualification, certification and compliance activities.

Filton, Bristol (Hybrid, 3 days on-site)

We're looking for a Hydromechanical Systems Engineer to join our growing Aerospace team supporting the development, integration and certification of complex aircraft Landing Gear and Hydraulic Systems.

This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge programmes involving landing gear actuation, steering, braking, extension/retraction systems and hydraulic control architectures, supporting projects from requirements through to test, qualification and certification.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Developing and managing system and subsystem requirements.
  • Supporting integration of landing gear and hydraulic systems.
  • Leading Verification & Validation, Test & Evaluation, and Qualification activities.

What We're Looking For
