Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Hydrology Service Lead to shape the strategy and growth of the Hydrology Service across the UK. You will lead technical excellence, drive pipeline development, and deliver high-quality hydrological assessments for major infrastructure projects.

You will provide authoritative leadership, engage with regulators and clients, and build a high-performing team while advancing external profile and collaborative working with global WSP teams.

Qualifications

• Recognised specialist in hydrology with UK policy and best practice experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and proven ability to win work.
• Ability to grow and inspire a high performing team.
• Chartership with a relevant professional body or commitment to achieve.

Responsibilities

• Lead growth and strategic development of WSP’s Hydrology Service in the UK.
• Provide senior technical leadership in hydrology for complex projects.
• Set direction on technical excellence, training and external profile.
• Review complex hydrological assessments for quality assurance.
• Oversee client-facing deliverables and clear data interpretation.
• Support bids and proposals with innovative solutions.
• Manage projects from commercial, financial and delivery perspectives.
• Build strong client and stakeholder relationships.
