Prestige Automotive Restoration & Engineering is seeking an experienced Hydraulics Technician to diagnose, repair, rebuild and test hydraulic and mechanical components on luxury and classic vehicles.

The role emphasizes hands-on fault finding, problem solving, and precision engineering within a growing employee-owned business. Salary reflects £30,000–£36,000 DOE, with profit sharing and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Hydraulics Technician or related roles such as Vehicle Technician or Mechanical Fitter.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills are essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

The Opportunity

As a Hydraulics Technician, you'll work within a dedicated technical team responsible for the refurbishment, remanufacturing and testing of hydraulic systems and vehicle components. No two days are the same, and you'll be involved in a wide variety of specialist engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults within hydraulic and mechanical systems
• Strip, inspect and rebuild specialist vehicle components
• Repair and refurbish hydraulic steering systems and assemblies
• Build and test hydraulic units to strict quality standards
• Support restoration, refurbishment and remanufacturing projects
• Carry out mechanical repairs and assembly work
• Complete workshop documentation accurately
• Maintain a safe, organised and professional working environment
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Hydraulics Technician, Vehicle Technician or Mechanical Fitter
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good understanding of mechanical systems
• Experience working with hydraulic systems would be advantageous
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for engineering and problem solving
