Job summary

The Adecco Group in Greater Manchester is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with hydraulics expertise to maintain and improve mechanical and hydraulic systems within a busy manufacturing environment. You will diagnose faults, drive reliability initiatives, and lead projects from concept through to installation while ensuring health and safety and updating engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum three years' experience in manufacturing, heavy industrial, or process environments.
• Strong hydraulics knowledge and fault-finding skills.
• Experience with CMMS and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to interpret hydraulic schematics and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic systems to minimise downtime.
• Drive equipment reliability initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Coordinate contractors and suppliers during project execution.
• Review and update engineering drawings, schematics, and documentation.
