The Role:

We seek experienced Hydraulic / Fluid Power Service Technicians to join our Portland, Melbourne, and Brisbane branches to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Duties include:

  • Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining fluid power components and systems using testing equipment
  • Overhauling mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
  • Fault diagnosis and operational maintenance
  • Recommending solutions to fluid power problems
  • Identifying and repairing fluid power components such as pumps, cylinders, valves, reservoirs, motors, and filters
  • Reading hydraulic schematics
  • Installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environment, and quality standards
  • Developing relationships with stakeholders

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Trade qualification as a fitter or equivalent with hydraulic experience
  • Experience in hydraulic hose assemblies, tube manufacture, and installation
  • Post trade training or relevant industry experience is highly regarded
  • Strong safety focus
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical
  • Ability to work across multiple sites and in a workshop
