Job summary

X4 Group Ltd in Leicester is seeking a Hydraulic Engineer / Technician to join a specialist engineering business. The role is hands-on, focused on building, testing, commissioning, servicing and fault finding of hydraulic systems and equipment.

You will read hydraulic schematics, assemble systems, test performance, carry out servicing and repairs, and support upgrades. A practical hydraulic background and ability to interpret schematics are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and understand hydraulic schematics.
• Hands-on experience building, testing or commissioning hydraulic equipment.
• Experience carrying out servicing, maintenance and fault finding.
• Good mechanical and practical engineering skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble hydraulic systems and equipment.
• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics.
• Test and commission hydraulic systems.
• Service and maintain hydraulic equipment.
• Carry out fault finding and diagnostics.
• Calibrate and adjust hydraulic systems.
• Install and replace hydraulic components including pumps, valves, cylinders and hoses.
• Carry out pressure and performance testing.
• Support repairs, modifications and system upgrades.
• Complete work to a high standard and follow health & safety procedures.
