Our collaborative and multi-disciplinary team is one of the largest in the UK, providing water and wastewater infrastructure services alongside drainage design, SuDS and surface water management. Our wide variety of clients span across the UK and internationally and include water companies, local authorities, highways / rail authorities, and developers.

It’s an exciting time to be working for our UK Water business with unprecedented investment in the water industry. Due to continued framework successes, we seek to recruit an Hydraulic Modeller to join our Water and Wastewater Team in Leeds. We are looking for entry-level candidates who may have limited experience but possess good analytical skills and a desire to learn.

What you can bring :

  • An understanding of the UK water industry, environment, and sustainability, with a desire to apply your skills to environmental challenges.
  • Previous demonstrable experience in wastewater modelling using InfoWorks ICM.
  • A proactive self-starter, with a desire to learn and develop technically, working towards a professional qualification.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Your purpose :

  • Develop computer models to investigate flooding and environmental problems and generate outline solutions.
  • Build, verify, and analyze hydraulic sewer model outputs.
  • Develop 1D and 2D models to investigate flood risk and flooding mechanisms.
  • Handle and analyze data.
  • Use GIS software (such as MapInfo & ArcGIS) to support understanding of complex environmental problems.
  • Develop reports and other project deliverables.
  • Plan and supervise surveys.
  • Support junior team members and proactively solve environmental problems for clients.
