Job summary

E3recruitment is seeking an Assembly Technician for a leading global manufacturer in Ellesmere Port. The role combines workshop work with customer-site tasks and offers genuine training and development opportunities in a permanent contract.

The position involves assembling, testing and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic hoses, using production machinery and basic tools, with a focus on quality, safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience is essential.
• Hose assembly, manufacture or testing experience is desirable but not essential.
• Good understanding of health and safety and quality procedures.
• Able to work on own initiative and without constant supervision.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, repair and test hydraulic and pneumatic hoses.
• Carry out testing at customer sites when required and complete test reports.
• Operate hose cutters, laser engraving and other production machinery.
• Use basic power tools and carry out associated production tasks.
• Maintain accurate hose records and database information.
• Follow company H&S and quality procedures.
• Support 5S, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
