Job summary

Newsquest Media Group is seeking a Web Developer for its Matrix Create division, the web development arm of LOCALiQ. You will design, build and support responsive websites across sectors, balancing design, performance, accessibility and commercial goals.

The role is hands-on, focusing on translating designs into live pages, maintaining CMS content, and troubleshooting issues throughout build and launch. Hybrid work with two days in Newport, Isle of Wight, and surrounding areas will suit

Qualifications

• Experience building responsive websites with CMS platforms.
• Ability to translate designs into functional web pages.
• Experience with Craft CMS, WordPress or Shopify.
• Knowledge of Twig, PHP templating.
• Understanding of Core Web Vitals and performance.
• Experience using design tools like Figma.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain responsive websites and front-end components.
• Implement and manage content within CMS platforms.
