Job summary

Apollo's Hybrid Value team in London seeks an Associate to support across structured equity, capital solution financings, and non-control distressed investments. You will perform financial modelling, company and industry research, portfolio monitoring, and idea generation in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in investment banking or principal investing, strong modelling and valuation skills, and an interest in both equity and credit.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience including at least one year in investment banking and/or principal investing.
• Strong modelling, analytical, valuation, and problem-solving skills.
• European language skills preferred.
• Genuine interest in both equity and credit investing with ability to analyse upside and downside risks.
• Demonstrates strong investment judgment by identifying risks and proposing solutions throughout all deal stages.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support for all investment-related activities including idea generation, evaluation, execution, and ongoing portfolio monitoring/management.
• Manipulate data to identify statistical trends and run performance analytics.
• Forecast business performance by building multi-scenario financial models.
• Run sensitivity analyses to assess impact under stress tests.
• Conduct deep company and industry research and develop investment committee materials.
• Assist the team with ad hoc projects.
