Job summary

Apollo Global Management, Inc. is seeking a high-potential Associate for its Hybrid Value team in London. The role focuses on financial modelling, portfolio analysis, and research across equity and credit strategies, with opportunities to influence investment decisions.

Candidates will engage in multi-stage investment processes, develop memoranda with senior colleagues, and contribute to continuous portfolio management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience including at least one year in investment banking and/or principal investing; M&A, Restructuring, and/or Leveraged Finance experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate institution with a record of academic achievement
• Strong modelling, analytical, valuation, and problem-solving skills
• European language skills preferred
• Genuine interest in both equity and credit investing and ability to analyse upside and downside risks
• Demonstrates strong investment judgment by ability to identify potential risks and find solutions to roadblocks throughout all stages of a deal
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills to support communication with external counterparties
• Excels in a rigorous and fast-paced team-oriented work environment

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical and project support for all investment-related activities including idea generation, evaluation, execution
• and ongoing portfolio monitoring/management
• Manipulate company and industry data to identify statistical trends and run performance analytics
• Forecast business performance by building multi-scenario financial models
• Run sensitivity analyses to identify quantitative impact on performance under various stress tests
• Conduct deep company and industry research
• Develop investment committee memoranda and materials with senior team members
• Assist the team with additional ad hoc projects
