Job summary

Alto Software Group is seeking a software engineer for a 12-month maternity cover, working 2 days per week in our London HQ. The role involves shaping a dual-stack architecture (C#, TypeScript) with AI-enabled development and AWS services.

You’ll collaborate with product teams to design and deliver features end-to-end, balancing speed and quality in a fast-moving environment. You’ll contribute to microfrontends, frontend-backend integration, and scalable, event-driven architecture while applying

Qualifications

• Strong background in TypeScript and C# with API design and distributed systems experience.
• Hands-on with AWS managed services (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, DocumentDB).
• Experience with AI coding agents and practical opinions on their use in software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Identify problems across a dual-stack C# and TypeScript backend and choose appropriate tools.
• Implement microfrontend web applications in React and TypeScript with good UX impact.
• Own features end-to-end from design to production and delivery.
