Job summary

Ronald James Ltd. in the North East of the United Kingdom is seeking a Test Engineer to join our QA team in an Agile environment. You will ensure quality across desktop, web and mobile apps through automated, functional, regression and manual testing, working closely with developers and stakeholders.

This hybrid role requires three days in-office per week, with the remainder flexible work. The successful candidate will write and maintain automated tests using Cypress, Playwright and Postman,

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Test Engineer or similar role.
• Commercial experience within a software development environment.
• Experience of functional, regression and manual testing across desktop, web and mobile applications.
• Exposure to automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright and Postman.
• Meticulous approach to software testing with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with QA team members to develop testing strategies and plans.
• Evaluate software functionality against specifications and business requirements.
• Identify, document and report defects to development teams.
• Write and maintain automated tests.
• Set up and maintain test environments across Windows and Linux.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
