Job summary

Primark is seeking a Technology Finance Administrator to join our technology team in Reading. This hybrid role offers the chance to contribute to cost management processes and collaborate with Finance and Procurement across the business.

You will support PO workflows, cost tracking in SoftCo, and vendor onboarding while using Excel and PowerPoint to analyse data and drive improvements in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in administrative, finance, procurement, or vendor management.
• High accuracy and attention to detail with large datasets.
• Effective verbal and written communication and stakeholder relationships.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive team player.
• Advanced IT proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with ERP/financial systems such as Oracle or SoftCo is advantageous.
• Highly organized with focus on process improvement and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of Technology cost management processes and WoW.
• Manage and maintain the Technology PO requisition process, including documentation, cost centres, and project codes.
• Oversee cost tracking in SoftCo, including PO creation, accruals, ageing items, and period-end processes.
• Ensure accurate PO management by reviewing reports, closing fully utilised POs, and resolving invoicing issues.
• Act as key contact for stakeholders, coordinating communication and managing the cost management mailbox with Finance and Procurement.
• Support vendor onboarding (via Zip), training, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
