Job summary

University of Southampton is seeking a Technology Transfer Associate to manage a portfolio of commercialisation projects, maximise IP income and deliver social value.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial experience is valuable but not essential.
• Ability to evaluate the commercial potential of scientific concepts and a sound knowledge of IP issues in a research environment.
• Ability to build networks with industry partners and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work on a portfolio of commercialisation projects to further increase IP income generated or to commercialise to maximise social good.
• Help manage relationships with key academic staff to understand their research expertise and identify new innovation and commercialisation opportunities.
• Use your strong organisational and inter-personal skills to succeed in large, collaborative teams.
