Job summary

Co-op Legal Services is recruiting a Tax Administrator to join the Probate Tax team. This full-time role offers hybrid working, with office attendance at Manchester or Sheffield and home-based days, 37.5 hours per week. Salary £26,000 with excellent benefits.

You will support tax returns across probate and estate cases under Tax Managers, handling data entry, calls, and general admin while using a case management system and Excel. HMRC liaison may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum criteria as described by employer.
• Ability to make outbound calls daily.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external partners.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high volumes of administrative data entry work.
• Make outbound calls to 3rd parties and clients to obtain information, and follow up when required.
• Support Tax Managers with administrative tasks including printing, handling confidential paperwork, and drafting letters to 3rd parties.
• Work with a case management system and Microsoft Excel.
• Maintain and update the task list to ensure accuracy.
• Complete ad-hoc requests to support the team.
• Provide tax support to Case Managers to assist client advice.
• liaise with HMRC as required.
