Job summary

Cummins West Yorkshire is seeking a talented Supply Chain Planner to join our team. Hybrid role: 3 days on site, 37.5 hours weekly, focusing on coordinating materials, production, inventory, and logistics to maintain continuity of supply and high customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience in manufacturing or supply chain planning environment.
• Experience with ERP/advanced planning systems and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and maintain daily supply chain operations across materials, production, inventory, logistics, demand planning and order fulfillment to ensure continuity of supply and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor supplier commitments and performance, identifying supply risks and implementing mitigation plans to prevent disruptions to production and customer deliveries.
• Balance constrained supply across multiple sites, making trade-off decisions to optimize inventory and meet customer commitments.
• Lead optimization of planning parameters, master data and system settings to improve forecast accuracy and visibility.
• Lead daily planning activities to identify and resolve potential supply chain issues and implement preventive actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement short- and mid-term tactical improvements.
• Analyze supply chain KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Six Sigma and process optimization.
• Provide guidance to Supply Chain Planners by promoting standardized processes and maintaining internal controls.
