Job summary

First People Solutions in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to help deliver major infrastructure projects with a focus on power and energy, including substations and grid infrastructure. You will design and deliver structural elements, produce drawings and calculations, and work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of structural engineering/design experience in a UK design environment.
• Experience with MasterSeries, STAAD or Tedds.
• Good knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards and CDM regulations.
• Working towards Chartered status.
• Ability to obtain security clearance where required.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver structural elements across a range of projects.
• Produce structural drawings, specifications, calculations and technical reports.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams throughout the design process.
• Review calculations, technical drawings and supplier submissions.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards, quality requirements and project specifications.
• Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and contribute to team development.
