Job summary

TED RECRUITMENT is seeking a Structural Engineer to join a Hertfordshire-based consultancy working on residential projects and other sectors. You will perform structural design and analysis, prepare calculations and sketches, review drawings and coordinate with clients, architects and the project team.

The requirements: a BSc in Civil or Structural Engineering, at least three years' experience in a structural engineering consultancy, knowledge of UK design standards and Eurocodes, ongoing

Qualifications

• BSc in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• At least three years' experience in a structural engineering consultancy.
• Good working knowledge of UK design standards and Eurocodes.
• Working towards Chartered with the ICE or IStructE.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Structural design and analysis of buildings and structural elements.
• Prepare calculations, reports and sketches.
• Review and check drawings.
• Coordinate with clients, architects and the rest of the professional team.
• Plan and monitor workload to meet timescales.
