Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Streetworks Coordinator in Grimsby to join the local authority highways team on an initial 3‑month contract. The role involves coordinating streetworks activities, managing permit applications and working with utility companies, contractors and internal teams to ensure works comply with relevant legislation, on a hybrid basis.

The position offers 2 days in the office and 3 from home, with a 37-hour week and a £30/hour umbrella PAYE rate.

Qualifications

• Experience in streetworks coordination or network management.
• Knowledge of NRSWA, Traffic Management Act and related legislation.
• Experience processing streetworks permits and notices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and process streetworks permit applications in line with legislation.
• Liaise with utility companies, contractors and internal teams to coordinate highway works.
• Monitor permit conditions and ensure compliance with NRSWA and Traffic Management Act.
• Identify clashes and minimise disruption to the highway network.
• Review streetworks documentation and supporting information.
• Maintain accurate records of permits, notices and activities.
• Resolve permitting issues and liaise with stakeholders to keep works progressing.
• Support wider highways team with network coordination and admin.
