Job summary

Ace Aquatec is seeking a Staff Scientist to advance aquaculture and animal welfare research, with emphasis on EEG and neurophysiological studies. The role involves designing trials, collecting and analysing data, and translating findings to support product development across collaborative teams.

You will work in hybrid settings in Dundee, travel internationally for research projects, and contribute to peer‑reviewed publications while advancing humane stunning technologies.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent research experience in a relevant field.
• Experience collecting and analysing EEG data across species.
• Strong data collection and analytical skills with scientific rigour.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan and carry out research trials with aquatic species.
• Conduct EEG, neurophysiological and behavioural studies.
• Collect, process and analyse EEG and behaviour data.
• Interpret findings and identify significant trends.
• Prepare internal technical reports and case studies.
• Contribute to peer‑reviewed journal publications.
• Collaborate with R&D, Operations and Digital teams.
