Job summary

Aabyss Limited in the UK is seeking a Solutions & Infrastructure Engineer to design and deliver secure, scalable technology solutions for clients in a hybrid role. You will cover discovery, design, implementation, validation and handover, while aiding service improvement across the client base.

The role emphasises solution design, security by design, and hands-on engineering, with opportunities to mentor others and influence engineering practices. Strong MSP experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in an MSP or IT services environment.
• Proven experience designing and delivering complex infrastructure, cloud or modern workplace solutions.
• Experience gathering technical requirements and translating them into deliverable solutions.
• Experience producing technical designs, project documentation and Statements of Work.
• Strong Microsoft 365 expertise including Teams, SharePoint Online, Intune, Exchange Online, Defender, Entra ID.
• Strong networking knowledge including Firewalls, Switching, Wireless, VPN, VLANs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Participate in client discovery workshops, technical assessments and solution planning.
• Design secure, scalable, resilient and supportable technology solutions.
• Translate client requirements and risks into viable technical approaches.
• Produce SoWs, technical designs, implementation requirements and network diagrams.
• Define scope, assumptions, dependencies, risks and high-level effort requirements.
• Provide technical input into project scoping and solution recommendations.
• Support Account Management with technical consultancy and solution development.
• Present and explain technical recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure solutions align with Aabyss standards and capabilities.
• Escalate designs outside established standards or capabilities.
• Contribute to design reviews and peer reviews for solutions.
• Deliver complex infrastructure, cloud, networking and modern workplace projects.
• Lead technical implementation activities across multiple technologies.
• Test and validate delivered solutions before handover to support.
• Document knowledge transfer and ensure live-service readiness.
• Provide specialist technical support to engineers during projects.
