Job summary

Digital Catapult is hiring a Solution Architect to work with customers, partners and delivery teams to translate complex challenges into scalable technology solutions. You will shape architecture across deep tech programmes, spanning AI, Digital Twins, Quantum Computing and more, driving requirements discovery, architecture design and successful delivery.

You’ll contribute to architecture reviews, technology selection and governance, while enabling organisations to realise value from frontier

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering software, cloud, platform, data or technology-enabled solutions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience translating business requirements into practical technical solutions and architecture documentation.
• Knowledge of modern software delivery practices, including cloud technologies, DevOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• Understanding of solution architecture principles, systems integration and non-functional requirements.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies and applying them to real-world challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering and discovery workshops with customers and stakeholders.
• Design scalable, secure and maintainable digital solutions, platforms and services.
• Produce architecture artefacts including solution designs and integration approaches.
• Define and communicate non-functional requirements (security, performance, resilience, compliance).
• Work with engineers, product owners, designers and technologists to support delivery.
• Contribute to architecture reviews, technology selection and governance.
