Aurora Energy Research in Oxford is seeking a Software Engineer to join a growing cloud software team that powers energy-transition decisions. You will work on a microservices stack (TypeScript/Express/AWS Lambda) with Redshift, MySQL, MongoDB, and React-based frontends, taking ideas from design to deployment.

You will join a hybrid team with modern tooling, delivering features multiple times per day and collaborating with users to craft robust, scalable software.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Experience with Node/TypeScript, Express, Python, SQL/NoSQL, React, and cloud infra.
• Proven track record delivering high-quality software.
• Experience building web-services / microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and operate the new generation of Aurora's software-as-a service solutions.
• Work closely with end users (internal and external) to innovate highly effective solutions.
• Contribute to continuously improving how the Software Team works.
