Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting a Social Worker – Children In Care Team in Romford, UK. The role offers hybrid working, with 2–3 days in the office, and both full-time and part-time options.

The position pays £37.52 hourly and involves supporting looked after children and young people within the Children’s Social Care service. You will conduct statutory visits and assessments, develop care plans and collaborate with foster carers, schools and health professionals to secure positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work or recognised equivalent.
• Registration with Social Work England is required.
• Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to children’s social care.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of looked after children and young people, ensuring statutory requirements and local procedures are met.
• Conduct statutory visits, assessments and reviews to safeguard children and meet welfare needs.
• Develop, implement and review care plans to promote stability, permanence, education, health and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with foster carers, residential providers, schools, health professionals and other agencies to coordinate support and achieve positive outcomes.
